Mbaise USA is leading a coordinated community effort to improve the literacy and educational levels of Mbaise children. Our literacy initiative spans the entire life cycle starting at preschool and moving through tertiary education.

This project supports efforts to rehabilitate schools in Mbaise up to the safety standards and pedagogic norms conducive to learning. The objectives of the project are to:

Restore dilapidated school buildings   Build new schools in necessary in select locales  Provide teaching materials and equipment to schools

This scholarship program intends to award short and long term scholarships to Mbaise children in Nigerian schools who need help financing their education. The scholarship program will help fund the educational needs of students at all levels of education: primary, secondary and Tertiary. For about $1 a day, you can adopt a child's education. Our adult litracy centers will provide a space that fosters youth development.These classes will be situated in some of the rehabiliated schools and centers and will provide an opportunity for young adults to learn how to read and write free of charge. These litracy programs will offer developmental education and on-site job training opportunities that will create a gateway to meaningful employment opportunities, self-sufficiency and higher wage jobs for young adults who currently are unemployed. The overarching goal of this program is to meaningfully engage our youth, instil in them a sense of self worth and offer them lawful alternative means of earning a livelihood.

A resource library that will provide a welcoming and self-affirming learning environment for students, who are looking for a space to enhance their social, linguistic, cultural, and cognitive development.
