Elder Fred J. Umunnakwe hails from Ife Town in Ezinihitte Local Government in Mbaise. For over 25 years he has been in the trench as a hands-on Community Organizer.

As an undergraduate, he was an elected Member of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede – Owerri, representing the Students’ Body from 1982-1983. Simultaneously, he was the President of the Students’ Union of the Polytechnic and the Vice President of The national Association of technological Students (NATS). While doubling as the Marketing Coordinator of Habitat Clean Limited, and a Finance & Banking post-graduate student at Anambra State University of Science & Technology at Enugu, he found the time to serve Ife Community Development Union, Enugu as the Secretary, 1985 – 1989 alongside the present Deputy Governor of Imo state who was then the Chair of the Women’s Wing of the Union, and as Assistant Secretary of Nzuko Ndi Imo, Enugu alongside the likes of Chief Chekwas Okorie who was then the treasurer of the organization.  At Lagos, he was the founder and Chairman of Tesaimex Nigeria Limited, a major supplier of truck and diesel engine auto parts to Dangote Transport Limited all over Nigeria.  Despite these tasking engagements he spared the time to serve as the President of Umulu Fraternity Lagos, 1995 – 2000, this time taking his zeal and skills in Community Organization to the grassroots at his village level.

In June, 2000 he migrated to Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and partner, Mrs. Ngozi A. Umunnakwe who is the CEO of Quality Curves, LLC, and has resided there ever since. Patriotism, skills and experience are portable; that’s why he has continued his efforts to leverage whatever resources that are available to promote the wellbeing of his people. At present Elder Fred Umunnakwe while serving as the pioneer National Secretary of Mbaise USA equally gets engaged in other community development efforts as the Financial Secretary of Ife Community Development Union (ICDU), North America & Canada, and the Secretary, Imo State Congress of the Americas (ISCA), Atlanta Chapter.

Elder Fred Umunnakwe takes his service to the House of God as well. As a result, he is an ordained Elder of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), USA. At present, he works at the World Headquarters of Delta Air Lines, Inc, Atlanta as a Logistics Officer. He holds a HND in Marketing & Advertising, a PGD in Finance & Banking and an MBA in Finance. He is a Chartered Financial Planner (CFP); and the founder and President of Tax & Financial Consultants, LLC Atlanta Georgia, engaged in Tax Planning, Retirement Planning, Estate Planning, Home Ownership Advisory and Investment Advisory, tailored to the peculiar needs of African-born Americans.
